Durante questa giornata andremo a “spasso” per la Galilea! Inizieremo con il visitare la mistica cittadina di Safed. Qui si trasferirono, infatti, già dal 1492 (anno in cui gli Ebrei vennero espulsi dalla Spagna), tantissimi eruditi e divenne ben presto uno dei centri più importanti di elaborazione intellettuale legata alla Kabbalah. Qui potremo visitare sinagoghe antiche e immergerci completamente nell’atmosfera surreale di questo posto. Tappa obbligatoria: il quartiere degli artisti!
Subito dopo di dirigeremo verso Nazzareth, città simbolo per il cristianesimo, luogo dove Gesù visse la sua infanzia e giovinezza.
Prossima fermata: il Monte Tabor sulla cui vetta troneggia la moderna chiesa della Trasfigurazione costruita dall’architetto italiano Antonio Barlucci sui resti più antichi bizantini e crociati. Dalla terrazza della chiesa un paesaggio mozzafiato sulla Galilea meridionale e la valle di Esdraelon.
